Sfor over 280 years runs our family Viticulture on the volcanic slopes of the western Kaiserstuhl. Already 1975 wuOur vineyards are cultivated without herbicides, insecticides and mineral fertilizers. Since 1981 we practice recognized ecologicaln Viticulture, now Demeter certified. Our terroir wines have been vegan and spontaneously fermented since 1996!
To defy climate change and fungus set we on the naturally crossed defense mechanisms of wild vines. These fungus-resistant grape varieties (PIWIs) get by with extremely little plant protection. Natural greening in combination with sowing and ecological niches (embankments, bushes, stone walls) do the rest to increase the biodiversity and to promote the natural balance. You can taste this quality!
