Ninth International PIWI Wine Award 2019
The successful International PIWI Wine Award went into its ninth round in 2019.
Wines made from fungus-resistant grape varieties are not only sustainable because they make it possible to do without pesticides as much as possible, they also deliver great wines with exciting aromas. In order to convey this to a wider audience and to honor the years of work of the vine growers and winemakers, PIWI International eV annually organizes the International PIWI Wine Award.
Only wines made from fungus-resistant grapes were allowed. It was tasted according to the internationally recognized tasting scheme PAR under the direction of Martin Darting.
