Winery description: The winery is managed by Marlene and Wilfried Jacobus in a biodynamic manner (Demeter). The wines of the Hof Steyert (14 ha) are typical vineyard wines, which are characterized by the terroir concept and are of special character due to the slate weathering of the Steyerberg steep slopes. The result is the best wines for which all grapes have been harvested by hand, such as Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Sylvaner and Regent. In the basement, a gentle, individually coordinated winemaking is the basis. This also includes fermentation with your own yeast. Our unfiltered Sylvaner, which is only vinified by yeast extraction, is a successful example.
