Located about 18 km southwest of Mainz between the hills of Rheinhessen, our vines have been growing on very calcareous marl soil, mostly since the 13th century. Vineyards managed by the Cistercian monks. In addition to classic varieties such as Pinot Gris or Pinot Blanc, special grape varieties (e.g. Solaris) grow that have their own character and valuable properties. The topic of sustainability and climate is very important to us, so that our focus has been increasingly focused on them in recent years. Climate-friendly wines are our motto. We implement this with wines that have a particular resistance in the vineyard, that is, less or no treatment at all. As a result, the vineyards are less traveled and nature can develop. As a family winery, we want to bring the potential of creation from the vine to the soil to the vintage with all its aromas and facets into the glass.
