Austria - Wagram www.familiebauer.at    Winery description: B.iologically We are a family of winemakers from Großriedenthal and have always been a little ahead of our time. Our company was one of the first to switch from stick culture to high culture. Bottle filling also started early. And since the environment is important to us and we not only talk about sustainability, but also live it, we rely on organic viticulture. Our goal is harmony between the vine, nature, the environment, wine quality and the winemaker. We strive to maintain soil fertility in the long term, to avoid environmental pollution, to strengthen the natural resistance of the vine and to create optimal habitat for beneficial insects. A.varied A wide variety of grape varieties can be found on our 28 hectare vineyard area. Our greatest attention is paid to the varieties Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner and Zweigelt. These vines feel at home on our gravel and loess soils and can therefore thrive wonderfully. But we also have some news: Our range is now one more facet. We are proud to be able to offer a Danube giant from the 2015 harvest. The new grape variety was bred in Austria and is particularly resistant to fungi. Uncomparable We also have something for very special occasions: ice wine and Trockenbeerenauslese are - in contrast to other companies - an integral part of our range. We have been specialists in sweet wines since the early 1990s. Our vintage sparkling wines are another culinary delight. E.rlife If you've got a taste for our wines and would like to try our wines, you are cordially invited to a tasting at our winery. For eight people or more, we also offer a wine chat: a commented wine tasting with a snack buffet. Whether you want to taste in a small or large group: Please contact us beforehand by phone! Cozy, bright rooms with furniture made of oak (only glued or put together - no use of metal), an ash floor and mattresses made of natural rubber invite you to relax and let go. “Holidays on the farm” awarded the accommodation with the highest rating - four flowers. |
